Walking Along This Road - click for lyrics and the story

(Bonnie Meadow)
November 28, 2005
I literally wrote this on a walk, the first one I was able to manage after an injury and subsequent surgery. The song is both literal (I really had no map and the crossroads DID all look the same!) and symbolic...this is what we do really, walk along trying to figure out the destiny that's our destination...

There's no map to rely upon
The crossroads are unnamed
You can only guess which path to choose
They all look just the same.

(Chorus:)
Walking along this road
Following where it goes
I am lost, just in contemplation
Something that I can find
In the solitude of my mind
The destiny that's my destination.

I couldn't foresee the accident
That happened when all was fine
I didn't know I'd sacrifice
The joys that were mine

(Chorus)
